Schedule
The sacrament of confirmation is given once a year, usually in June. Preparation begins in October.

For the academic year 2026-2027
Dear friends, on September 14 - 25, we invite you to register young people for the preparation of the sacrament of confirmation in our parish in the 2026-2027 school year: in LT and PL languages.
Three main steps to do this:
1. FILL
We invite young people from the age of 15 to prepare for the sacrament of confirmation (they should be of this age or older in June 2027, when the sacrament is expected to be administered).

2. ARRIVAL
September 14-25 (working days only), 16 - 19 p.m. In our parish chapel (entrance from the outside), we will be waiting for you upon your arrival to confirm your registration and present the necessary documents:

- Baptism certificate and First Communion certificate.
- Donation to cover preparation costs.
3. LET'S GO TOGETHER!
- We will celebrate the festive Mass of the catechetical school year on October 4. (Sunday) 15:00 (LT) or 13:00 (PL).
- The first meeting of the Sacrament of Confirmation with the Lithuanian language. group will take place on October 13 or 14, and the Polish October 14

- Registration reception will be held on September 14-25 from 16:00-19:00 (in the Chapel).
- The number of places is limited. After the registration period, we will not register new candidates.

The Sacrament of Confirmation strengthens the journey of faith begun by baptism. The Holy Spirit gives strength to witness to faith in everyday life. It is a conscious decision to live according to the teachings of Christ.
- Sacrament of Confirmation is administered today in the same way as in the times of the apostles. The bishop (or his authorized representative) stretches his hands over the heads of those being confirmed and prays for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Then he places his hand on the head of each one to be confirmed, pronounces his name and says: "Receive the sign of the Holy Spirit", anointing the forehead with holy chrism. In this way, the sign of his dependence on God (as before the slave - his master) is imprinted. The confirmed renew their Baptismal promises and profess their Faith.
In the Western Church, Confirmation is the sacrament of a young person who has reached the age of majority. Since the baptismal parents said the Confession of Faith for him, the baptized baby, now he himself, starting to live and act with his responsibility, says "yes" to the community in which he was baptized.
● They say "yes" to Christ and promise to be determined to witness to Him and not to renounce their Faith.
● They express their determination to be supporters of the Church and to help their brothers and sisters.
Like Baptism, Confirmation leaves an indelible mark on the soul; therefore, this sacrament is administered only once. The gifts of the Holy Spirit help the confirmed person to become the salt of the earth and the light of the world (Mt 5, 13-14), to witness Jesus Christ with his life and activities so that it is clear to those around him: this person is a Christian.
- Confirmation: "Confirmation gives Christ the fullness of Grace; it is a sacrament that gives the Holy Spirit to engraft us even more deeply in divine adoption, to unite us more firmly with Christ, to unite us more perfectly with the Church, to involve us more actively in her mission and to help us to witness to the Christian Faith with deeds accompanying our words" (Catechism of the Catholic Church 1316). Adults receive this sacrament together with the Eucharist. Where infants are baptized, Confirmation is given to young adults of conscious age as a sign of responsibility for their actions. In the Eastern Church, Confirmation is given immediately after Baptism, followed by participation in the Eucharist.
