Requirements
Apply to the parish office no later than 5 months. until the planned date of marriage; participation in marriage preparation courses; Certificates of Baptism and Confirmation; civil registry documents.
Schedule
Marriage ceremonies are held on Saturdays. Please contact the parish priest for the date and time.
Church marriage is a covenant of love between two people blessed by God. The sacrament of marriage gives the grace to create a strong Christian family based on love, fidelity and mutual respect.
Marriage preparation procedure
Application deadline. Newlyweds must apply no later than 5 months before the date of marriage.
Required documents (presented to the priest):
- Baptismal certificate from the archive of the church where the newlyweds were baptized.
- Important: there must be an archival certificate, the original old baptismal certificate is not suitable.
- Engagement course certificate (obtained after completing the course).
- If the newlyweds are not from this parish, they must have permission from the parish priest of their place of residence to marry in this parish.
- Identity document.
- Free standing certificate.
Marriage form. When filling out, it is necessary to indicate where and when the Sacrament of Confirmation was received. You don't need a special certificate - it's enough to record the place and date. If one or both have not received Confirmation, a dispensation request must be written to the Ordinary for permission to bless the marriage.
Dispensation is requested from the Bishop if:
- one or both have not accepted the Confirmation;
- one of the betrothed is not Catholic or unbaptized;
- one of them had previously entered into a civil marriage;
- the 5-month waiting period is not observed.
Engagement form. Can be filled out flexibly, e.g. 1 month or 3 weeks before marriage - depends on the pastor's decision.
Department of Civil Registration. It is NECESSARY to prepare a report for the Department of Civil Registration (the form should be prepared). 3 copies must be filled out:
- one copy - to the Curia,
- one copy - to the Civil Registry Office,
- one copy - is added to the fiancé's profile.
The newlyweds sign the document on the day of their marriage. The document can be scanned and sent by e-mail. by post or delivered in person. It MUST be done within 10 calendar days.

● Marriage candidates must register with the pastor with all matters no later than five (5) months before the date of the planned marriage.
