Accompanying a loved one to eternal life

Funerals and rites

Catholic funeral rites are a prayer for the deceased and comfort for the loved ones. The Church accompanies its members to eternal life in St. Mass, prayers and blessing. We are here for you during this difficult time.

Sacramentals: "The Holy Mother Church established sacramentals. They are holy signs that, like sacraments, mark the spiritual fruits obtained through the prayers of the Church. Sacramentals prepare people to accept the specific action of the sacraments and sanctify various cases of life" (Vatican II Council, Constitution of the Holy Liturgy 60). They sanctify some church services, some human states, various cases of Christian life and things used by man. Sacramentalia is a prayer, often accompanied by a certain sign (eg laying on of hands, sign of the Cross, sprinkling with holy water). Consecration is the designation of a person (eg a superior of a monastery) or an object (eg an altar, a church, a bell) exclusively for the service of God; blessing - entrusting a person (children, tourists, pilgrims) or things (house, food, car, animals) to God's protection and care.
